Been running bog standard press fits on carbon Giant road and mountain bikes for years. Zero troubles at all.
I guess Giant know how to make straight frames with round holes 🙂
I'm of the opinion carbon fibre bikes need to go. So I wouldn't base my decisions on what is good for them.
I’ve been a dedicated BBINFINATE user for several years now. I have used both press fit and threaded on my bikes. As far as durability and wear I’ve had no problems. I do tend to care for my bikes well above the normal maintenance requirements and standards. I replace bearing seals, clean and lube the BB bearings twice a year. Similar to UK weather I live in the Pacific Northwest and deal with rain, mud, slop, grit and road crud quite a bit so it’s essential to keep up on the preventive maintenance.
Amazing info and delivery. Question if I may. Which of these would most possibly be usable on a beach cruiser with steel cranks. I’m using bb adapter cups currently with a bmx 3 piece crank conversion. Im aware another cup adapter will needed.

Square taper anyone? Used them all my life, never had any issues. Last forever if you buy a decent shimano.
I've been using a pressfit ultegra bb for a couple of years now. When installing I put some waterproof grease on the cups and inside the shell and I haven't had any issues with it whatsoever yet.

I would argue Enduro bearings makes better BB then CK and offer lifetime replacement. I own 2014 Roubaix with press fit and over 50K miles on it. Still original BB and no issues. Doesn't mean I wouldn't rather have it with threaded BB but shows press fit is not as bad as people think. I own 4 bikes each with different BB. Only one I replaced twice. It is square tapered BB on my commuter bike. Last time I replaced it with Token BB and looks like it is a winner unlike shimano UN-55 and it previous iteration with plastic cap.
Chris King may be the nicest one, but I can get 10 Shimano BSA for the same price and it takes 10 mins to change max, so there really is no need except for the bling factor. Especially if ur on a budget it really is one of the last places to spend your money.
BSA is the best. Can run so many different types. Also, Chris King is way too much money. C'mon. Be real. $212 USD is nuts.
The press fit bbs where the two halves of the bb thread into each other and don't require a press are great. I installed them easily myself and been running them for years with no issues.
Started using token ninja screw in bb into press fit they are really durable
Campagnolo Record 20066 BB square taper and use Campg record 2006 cranks. On my summer bike still perfect after 17 years. Gets removed one a year too clean thread etc. Looks fabulous works beautifully. Only 10 speed.. OMG how will I cope! 🙂
