I would love having him as a neighbor but I often wonder how his actual neighbors feel. Hopefully they are supportive and curious and awesome. I’d prob be a pest wanting to check in on the progress of all that noise. In a good way!
Oh PS, totally agree on the big scar over the eye socket. Not only is it a fossil, but the few T-Rexes we’ve found often have battle wounds etc.
400 hours for that? Please. Are you on an "OHSA hour" where you get a 45 minutes break for every 15 minutes of work? If you are then your timing seems right.

I agree that the void contributes to the authenticity of the piece. Glad it was left in.
I love this sculpture. Personally I might have tried a different dinosaur skull to avoid the void. But if I were as set on a T-Rex as you were, then I would probably have used resin. I really like the look of the empty space, though!

I dont know what the indentations are but I just thought about this while watching Jurassic park, why is it in all dinosaur movies the trex roars? When no one knows what they sound like or if they even made noise
From what I know is that they are most likely nerve connection points in the skull
The small dimples above the teeth would have fed soft tissue lips in life

Great job! I like that you left the void. Not really sold on the LED lights but maybe if there had been a second set of red lights with a separate switch that would be interesting. Good thing you didn't have more voids or you might've had to incorporate the cutoffs and do a 3D jigsaw puzzle type of method. Can't wait to see your next sculpture.
