A movie with a giant monster rampaging all over New York City and the camera’s battery life is where you can’t suspend your disbelief?
Cloverfield and Chronicle are the 2 best found footage movies
I’m not sure if you watched the credits all the way but at the end, you can hear someone(most likely robert) saying how it’s still alive, then soon after you can hear the monster roar. It’s a pretty cool detail
One of the best thing that happened on this film are the marketing style the show runners did, its dark web + 4chan stuff.
We see the movie through the perspective of Hud. Get it HUD.

I remember seeing this in the theater and I was just impressed how it was done. I know it's not the first movie to do the found footage style, but it seriously elevated it. Doing it with a monster movie told from the perspective of regular people trying to survive this crazy situation than the military and scientists was an added bonus. You don't have to worry about 10 Cloverfield Lane if you guys are prone to motion sickness, though. It's made like any other movie, so you should be fine. However, Greg and John, if you're reading this, can you make Tara watch more found footage movies or any movies with a lot of shaky cam? I need to see if she'll barf all over the place lol.

Seeing this in theaters with a 90% audience of fellow art college students was an *EXPERIENCE* ! LOVE this movie! Considering we only had Blair Witch as a found footage example, this was so refreshing. I fully consider this movie to be the breath that started the new trend of kaiju movies. Also, the Cloverfield monster has a cameo in the first "Godzilla vs Kong" movie. 😁
If you're doing a point of view, found footage film they cannot record when they change the battery the camera is off. so if you watch another found footage movie please, please, do not fixate on the battery. They also didn't say how big the camera was so why only envision a very large one? We don't know. Please watch 10 Cloverfield Lane.
Can someone smart in here make it make sense for me please. with this one and the paradox one. CAREFUL SPOILERS AHEAD. Ok so the end of paradox i was a bit confused. so while this was happening on earth the space crew were dealing with their sitation in space. and went to another time line and they came back at the end to their own world?. But that monster was way bigger than this one. he could reach through above the clouds. Some people say when that thing happen in space it open a portal to another realm and free those creatures through all time lines?. the director said this one was a baby, so we got a baby in this one. And the one that was sent to the end of paradox time line is an adult?. im like am i correct or wrong?. i hate feel that way. someone please help.

There's a hidden secret at the last scene in the movie where they're on the carousel, if you look closely something falls from the sky into the water. Indicating that the monster came from space and went into the ocean.
If you deep dive into this story lore, there is tentative links to Godzilla and Lost. Well worth looking into…
The cameras back in those days could be held with one hand which had a strap to go around your hand to make it easy to hold, and the batteries would come in three sizes. 4 Hour 6 hour and 8-hour batteries

At the end when there on the Farris wheel you can see something fall from the sky many belive its the monster but from the extended lore stuff it was in fact a satellite that fell that might of woken up the monster and the monster is only a baby while the small cretures falling off it are just like fleas on a dog. But this monster most definitely came from earth.
They need to react to chronicle another god found footage that’s underrated
