Peterborough is less than 2 hours from Toronto Ontario and is popular in summer but amazing in winter. I visited Peterborough restaurants in January during a snowstorm and got to know the city like a local.
Much thanks to Peterborough & the Kawarthas for partnering with me on this foodie program. I researched all the places I wanted to visit with help from locals on Facebook, Reddit and friends I knew who lived there. I wanted to know what is it like to live in Peterborough and I can say its amazing all year round. Sure it’s a famous cottage country in Ontario with its incredible provincial parks, lakes, canoeing and cycling. But winter is wonderful too and worth visiting to avoid the crowds and learn what makes this community a little bit different.

The cabbage soup looks amazing! I would visit Peterborough just to visit that place, but first I need to learn how to pronounce the city name. English is not my first language so it is extra hard to me. Great video!

Awesome video. Used to work at St V and can confirm, easily one of the best places in the city. My man D in the kitchen has been absolutely killing it since he took over a few years ago.
Oh and fun fact about the sugar smell. If you're downtown and can smell what the quaker oats factory is cooking, it's likely going to rain or snow! Something to do with how the wind and the river works.
