This is just crazy shit man. How can they upcharge the rider, and lowball the driver? The person doing all the driving? The reason the trip is being completed? The person using all of THEIR resources (phone/data/car/gas/customer service etc.. ) to work for the company? I was doing the trips for a little bit, not even knowing I was only getting about 20-40% of the rider fare. I havent touched it since I found out. Ima have to start trying to do the offline/cash rides because uber current fares is slave work. Mostly deliveries too. I was getting depressed by how much bullshit Uber kept sending me. And I was getting offers out of the ass too. Literally, out of the ass cause they were shit.

Congrats Jeff! Yes, it is slow out there. It was last year too. The main difference I see this year is that there are way more drivers and the fares are drastically lower. Uber and Lyft are imposing their will on the drivers. It’s like, “this is all we are paying, and we aren’t budging or surging. If you don’t accept great. We don’t care.” They also don’t care if it means riders wait. I e heard a few say that wait time is becoming an issue. I always tell them that Uber doesn’t care if you wait. They aren’t going to incentivize drivers to take your ride.

Seeing how bad things are getting, instead of looking for a W2 job, we should all try day trading. I have been practicing for 4 months now and I'm getting to work now with a live trading account. I know and understand it takes time to learn and get money into a day trading account, but I believe its worth it. Uber and Lyft won't care at all about paying the drivers right untill the politicians and/or state government get on it. Since that's the case in most states, we need to look for something better and not stick around and wait for these companies to do something about it. Today, I was able to make $178 day trading in about 4 hours. To most day traders, this is weak, but drivers might consider this to be golden. No driving, no picking up wierd/shady people, no risking your life with bad driving idiots on the road, no more traffic, no beating on your car. As my first day at it, $178 in 4 hours @ my house is much better than $178 driving for long hours minus the cost of gas, a small coffee, and wear and tear of your vehicle.

I can’t stand a full car either. I’m instantly irritated when I see groups of 3+, especially on short trips. I really start fuming with they all have luggage too lol. I love that we can see the customers live locations once arriving at the address because if I see they aren’t moving after 1 min I just pull off.

Hey big bro, will tapping in let me ask you something. I figured to do private rides right first I’ll look at what the cabs charge then undercut that price for instance knew someone who needed a ride from Harlem to bklyn. The taxis were charging 80 I charged them $45. That 80 included both tolls. I was able to get them there with no tolls and I’m a former limo driver so I know my way around. The person also said with Uber they give a range price not a definite so it can go higher or lower but you never know? I’m asking because you talked of private rides and the apps are doing what they do? Just asking your advice and what you think? Thank you for your time and keep doing what you do. Also I’m going to look possibly look into something else to do for money and also looking into starting my day super early like around 5-6am.
