  2. FYI, it is much cleaner way cleaning yourself after pooping and some of things she mentioned are unnecessary because not everyone would want to soaked their butts with water. Also, some establishments, condos, apartments etc. have bidets.

  3. in most households in Indonesia also use dipper for bathing. in remote areas, people bathe, wash in the rivers. i think this is common in south east asia except singapore which already adopt modern life style. we call dipper in our Indonesian language as gayung.

  4. Remember this doesn’t apply to everyone. There’s toilet papers available everywhere in the main city and updated toilets are able to take in toilet papers. I think using TABO (differ) is so much cleaner than how we do it here in the US. We use tabo in my family because it’s just tradition.

  5. Her demo went to a very primitive times.. as for today i don’t think there is no more house that don’t have CR’s and toilet bowls… locals had ben educated long ago about these hygiene basics..
Bt thevmagic dipper s still common because bowls with flush is expensive for below average populations… but one thing i can assure you guys is that bei ng g fresh down there is the most “heavenly” feeling…😊

  6. This lady is crazy really…. 😅😅😅 maybe she is not Filipino. Maybe she is belong to SEA GYPSY TRIBE of the Philippines. 🇵🇭 She did messed the reputations of those 99.9% PHILIPPINES population.

  7. I don't why it appears to foreigner Funny or Just in USA, which is much funnier since they use paper to wash their butt, Imagine the dry poop that not remove at all (crusty) lmao… Ours is much cleaner, faster, and convenient.

  8. This type shock is probably going to happen as you travel to relatively poor or developing countries which are much different than in the rich and or very rich countries. Hell, the hourly wage in PH is only about 1/10 that of the US. The average family in PH can hardly afford to buy paper and school supplies or food for their kids. So how can they afford to buy toilet paper or what not. But Filipinos are generally clean and take showers often because of the hot climate, …… maybe they shower more often than the Westerners. It’s good you’re educating foreigners about this so when they visit PH they know what to do. But decent restaurants. hotels, Malls, etc. in PH do have toilet paper. Otherwise, just bring some, in case of some emergencies.

  9. no its not how you wash your butt. best way to wash your butt is open your legs wide while seating on the bowl, pour it front down your thing to run down to your butt with your right or left hand serving as eaves to your butt, rub/wipe with your hand your butt while water is running down to your hand to your butt and after put a soup in your hand rub it one more time, scoop water with your dipper and repeat the process. Then wash your hands…. its more relaxing and feeling fresh and clean. 🤗🇯🇵🇵🇭

  10. This is true!! Most filipino household specially in the province and ordinary family with simple lifestyle have water but no shower and bidet. So we have big "balde" pail to stored water and use "tabo" dipper. In fact in very very rural areas is worst!
You will get shock 100x when you discover their toilets

  11. When I'm at home, definitely, use the dipper, wash the butthole and the areas around it with soap and water. Hahahaha! Dry it with tissue paper.

Whenever going out, I always bring tissues and wet wipes in my bag. You can use it in many ways anyway…so…. it's practical too. I don't expect public toilets here in the Philippines to have tissues. It's good if there's tissue available, but STILL, it's good to always have wet wipes and tissues in your bag.

Nowadays, there are bidets in some public toilets. For some reason though, I am uncomfortable doing # 2 in public toilets. If I can still hold it in, I will wait till I get home to do it.

BUT if not, I STILL prefer to clean myself with soap and water. I don't feel that it's clean, when it's just water. 😄😄

  12. Just to add some terminology/info:

Dipper is TABO in Tagalog (Philippines’ language). Or you can just use a big cup. More modern houses have bidets.

Toilets are called COMFORT ROOMS or CR in the Philippines.

More modern communities and hotels you can flush the toilet paper. The reason you cannot flush the toilet paper is because the old sewage system is not built for it. It is improving though.

And when you’re washing your butt, I would wash one hand first until it’s soapy then wash my butt, then repeat until your butt is clean. I still use soap even with bidets.

If you know the comedian JOKOY (Filipino/American) he talks about this TABO😆
