  1. About that british sea fort one, I have family in Whitstable and whenever we go there you can see them along the horizon, dwarfed by wind turbines. It's amazing to see old and modern buildings next to one another. You can get boatrides to go out and see them as well. I can't remember but I think you were allowed in one of them.

  2. American History: The Number Ten saloon where Wild Bill Hickock was killed burned to the ground. The White Elephant Saloon, site of the Luke Short shootout isn't the real one and it's just a tourist trap. The OK Corral burned to the ground after the gunfight. The oldest house in Chicago burned to the ground the night it was supposed to be a historical marker to make way for a parking lot. Judge Roy Bean's courthouse and saloon is a tourist replica. The memorial to the Battle of Nashville is in the middle of a interstate highway intersection. The reenactment of the OK Corral has almost nothing to do with the actual event. Those beautiful photos of New York City across the water were taken from "The Dueling Ground". There is a monument showing it was near the site of the Burr/Hamilton Duel. No one knows where the duel actually took place. Doc Holiday's grave marker isn't where he's buried. No one knows where the body of Billy the Kid lays since it was probably washed away in a flood.
