  1. Looks like YouTube installed AI to erase good and bad posts. The funniest part is only erases your videos posts.

I posted something earlier and it got erase but it did not erase on other YouTube channels at all. Looks like your video could be a red flag.

I think you might want to delete this video and repost again. Here I am trying to give some tips about WeChat Pay but it seems YouTube AI is not happy with what I posted.

  2. Dig dipper and find out if the common people have the freedom you enjoy in your country. Ask who is Dalai Lama? Tibet, Hong Kong! Ueghurs and Human rights? You land in police station right away for interrogation. China is country for shows and there is no real substance in the country under Dictatorship rule.

  3. Almost 100% first-time traveler to China has alert mind before coming. It is so ridiculous. Can imagine how western mainstream medias educate their people. Good thing is, all alerts can be removed as soon as they set feet in China.

  4. Welcome to Shanghai, my second home lol. China is nothing like you hear from the western media. I’m glad that you decided to come though. Nanjing road (the walking street that you visited) is one of the expensive side of course cause it is tourist spot hehe. And one thing I can teach you is how to eat xiaolongbao (that dumpling) put it on your spoon, bite a little of the skin then slurp the broth before eating it whole

  5. I think the breakfast is not 'Jianbing', it should be called 'danbing', which means egg pancake. and please don't go to shanghai during July and August, it's the summer vacation for students, too many people, and it's hot.

  6. You are severly ripped off… I can tell from the taxi, to the water bottle, pretty much everything.. you could easily get 1/3 of the price as a local, no taxi within shanghai should take you above 80, the water bottle probably cost 30 maximum, if not 25.

  7. Mate, I'm an Aussie as well, and I went to China a few years ago. You are 100% correct. China is NOT like we've been told back home. People really need to visit China to see the true China. I was pleasantly surprise at how advanced and futuristic China is. I also went to USA. USA does NOT compare to China. I felt safe in China (and I'm a White Aussie male). I did NOT feel safe in USA.

  8. Oh my god. I'm so glad I found your channel! I watch the entire video without skipping a bit, smiling all the way through as I really felt your excitement!!!
It's a really refreshing to see China/Shanghai through your eyes–I have been to Shanghai before but that was a long time ago. I am glad you and Michael found a way to navigate around the issues of payment etc (I heard that you can connect your credit card to Alipay now so perhaps you can look into that, if wechat-pay doesn't work for you) because cash payment is quite inconvenient there.
Hope you have a wonderful stay in China 🙂 Gonna start watching your next video now! ❤

  9. Hi, I was 3 years ago on tour in China 14 city’s . Every one from the orchestra knew to put vpn on their phones. At the airport they were asking if we wanted to buy sim cards with data – 100000gb for a month for something like 20€ Almost everyone from us did it. So google and everything else on my phone worked. The important thing Google translate as well. And that was doing pretty good job. I just inquired before we traveled what to do to be comfortable in China. The only thing I really missed was a good coffee in the hotels for breakfast. Next time I will bring a small manual espresso machine with me. 😊

  10. My high school is just lacated several miles away from the Nanjing Road you just visited. I have not been back to Shanghai for nearly 5 years. Thanks so much for your video! I can see Shanghai is getting better and better. Can not wait for being back to Shanghai 3 months later!
