Welcome to Australia… what an amazing experience this trip has been! VEEM Marine completely blew us away with its ingenuity, engineering, and professionalism. So grab a drink of your choice, sit back, and enjoy this wild ride into the world of the Biggest Gyros you will ever see. This is part one of our VEEM experience, as we also got a sneak peek behind the scenes of the «top secret» World Class PROPS making… and yes, we might just be getting these bad boys for our B75. 😜 Let me know what you guys think of this video in the comments.

absolutely amazing technology, good guys andwell presented. thoroughly enjoyed the video
Interesting, so I am going to need 3 of those bad boys on my future explorer yacht
So, I imagine this helps with sea sickness, yeh!
I used to get tail shafts done by veels. Great to see how far they’ve come
I am a proud West Ozzie what I think of VEEM probably doesn’t mater as I am not nautically equipped these days. But I still know what these guys have achieved. They basically rock. They also fly a great flag for all the itch’s they are an vital part of the WA community. As for the website and that yappy chick. I agree with a lot of other commenters that say if she would just calm down. I mean @ times she asked some very good questions. So chill out gal it almost cost you guys a sub but I signed anyway on the quality of the subject matter 😊bye
What a nice family. And what a scary product! Several tons at 3,000 RPM – what could go wrong? Thanks for delving into an interesting technology.
This is genius.
Dont Forget the new VEEM Collaboration with Sharrow Propellers
FOIL under then you dont need a prop. To move forward. And still can make sideways stabilty. My idee. 10%if it functional. Hehe😅
Awesome video. I would like to have heard a ball park figure on the price/ cost of their gyros and props. I know a lot of variables, but a for instance on the one they were running the test on.
Why not make that spinning gyro an electric motor recapturing some of the juice to spin it? Please send my royalties ASAP!
Great to see you guys down in our neck of the wood. Hope you get to spend more time in Australia now and in the future… did you watch the AFL Grand Final? 🤗
Great story showcasing a great Aussie family doing great things. I live on the other side of Australia so not easy to see without the virtual tour. Understated cutting edge engineering taking it to the big boys.!
Go get em Veem! 👍
Awesome video, So proud to be an Aussie and only 10 km from Veem, here in Perth, Western Australia.
Great story, and we can forgive them for being Aussies with their under hand cricket bowling tactics when they make awesome products like these. I dare them to coke up with the gyro solution for a sailing yacht. He who overcomes shall win big after that!
Fascinating technology!
Fascinating. 👍🏼 Well done to the family.

So if there were three gyros inline, and spaced apart, would they not try to twist the vessel apart if they were running at different speeds? 🤔
I tried holding the spinning bicycle wheel just by the axle when I was young 🤓, I noticed speed made a difference as to where the wheel wanted to be.
As a scientist…. I wonder how they tested the boat hitting a wave and going airborne what would happen?
Wouldn't it be easier to redesign the age old unstable boat style and manufacture a more stable futuristic and fuel efficient boat
So in layman's terms it's a Counter balance
Also die Übersetzung ins Deutsche „gehen gross“….
Probably the perfect place for my son to work as he is qualified as a Tool Maker Flat Bed Laths, and CNC, machined Hydraulic rams for Ferries, Hatches for Nuclear Submarines, and parts for McClaren Street cars, and Formula One Racing cars
Is it worth all the added stresses in holding the craft still? Given the composite nature of hull construction, I’d be concerned about fatigue.
You seem to be very fond of the telnyashka colours Victoria Chalaya from Russia.
Great video! i don't think any other production team could have handled this better.
G-day thanks Guys I am from Belfast and no I did not work the Titanic but ship was big ship of Harland & Wolf 232 000 dead weight tons the first and super tanker out there I seen the clockwork gyros they literally wined them up on Navy ships the technology you playing with very interesting what a boon for Australia good on ya . thanks again.❤✌👍
That was really interesting! Thank you 👍
Great to see such an open, frank and factual conversation in such an aussie way.
😂 yess iam Australian never heard
About this company 😮 sad Australia 🇦🇺 doesn't back company s like this 😢 Australia has some very intlegent products people 😅
Fascinating as well as timely episode as I've been looking at Seakeeper and MC2X stabilizers as well as fins. I think VEEM also bought or is partnering w/ Sharrow Marine to manufacture their new loop props. Compliments to you both as you're great interviewers and bring out a lot of detail while having a lot of fun.
Terrible hairdooooo
Extremely chuffed that you did this video. It was interesting and as an Aussie it makes me very proud of what we are doing in the maritime field. More like this please.
I really really welcome these kinds of videos, which are interesting and educational at the same time. Would really like to see more of those from time to time – explaining different systems of the boat. Not on a level that an engineer would need to design one, but explained detailed enough that an enthusiast aspiring to be an owner-operator one day can say "OK, I understand now how this subsystem works".
Great video. I'm Aussie who didn't know about this company. Such a great culture of innovation there.
Next Gyro in sailboats.
I'll stick with viking!
Some constructive advice? First, love your content and channel. The jump cuts were sooo distracting. You did a near-perfect job of editing the audio, but.. you edited the video and audio combined. Had you done the same edits but used different video, like b roll or even some long shots of interview shot to use for this purpose (google 'coverage') it would make for a smooth video image (without the jumps) and also the audio would flow without seeming like it was diced and sliced. Yes, I know it's more work to edit audio separate from video, but not that much work and makes for a much more polished product. And again, I'm a huge fan of your channel (since you guys were unknown lol) and I don't mean to insult or criticize! I know you can move up to an even higher level of production and look forward to more of your work. Cheers 🙂
Really interesting idea to deep dive some boat tech.
This was an awesome post. Keep them coming.
