You missed tornadoes

I have lived in Central Florida for 50 years…I've had a friend murdered..stuffs stolen out of my garage…the summers are real hot….the traffic is utter hell..if I didn't have to drive it would love it…what she says is basically true but most people i no can't afford to live near the beach…..home prices are outrageously hi ..car and home owners insurance is super expensive HOA fees are going up every year….in fact Duke power has raised electric rate twice in the last 2 months…no state income tax but with all of the toll roads u can easily spend 3 grand a year on tolls..Florida is not about always playing and partying…people have to work…to feed families…the kids go to school..food is expensive….the daily commute on crowded roads is stressful….is short life here is like most places only it doesn't snow…we have good and bad sections of town…our crime rates are hi compared to other cities…Disney is super expensive..no longer the deal it was 15 years ago (the last time I was there)….

Have lived in Sarasota my whole life – over 40 years. Traffic is in fact horrendous and there is no “season” anymore – it’s overrun by transients and visitors with FOMO. Used to be nice – now, just your run of the mill tourist town. Sad what it’s become.

Great video and very informative. The humidity, weather and critters dont bother me in the least — we have our share of ALL of that up here in the midwest. As you said, over the past 3 years, I spent 2 weeks in each of the 4 seasons and didnt bother me in the least. Just need to have the prices in my selected subdivision come down — if at all. I still have about 4 years to make that final move — so just need to sit back, wait for whatever flavor recession is coming and understand what the "new pricing norm" will be in Floirda.

Good grief are people soft or what. Traffic, rain, heat oh the horror of it all. All these northerners and their pearl clutching are ridiculous.

I’ve lived in several states – lived in Florida for 30 years – now live in another state. Would love to live in Florida again the rest of the country is garbage by comparison.

You can not evacuate!!! Too many developers over developed, too many ppl, thank God ppl leave florida after their first hurricane, too many cars, you end up stuck in traffic!! We need to ban certain areas from rebuilding like texas did!!

Great point about not going too far on bike rides in summer, and exercising in the morning.

Florida is an illusion!!

I'd pick florida over any of these democrat strong holds where crime is skyrocketing because of these woke dumbasses in the criminal justice system and throughout the government aren't holding criminals accountable which only encourages more crime. Florida also isn't allowing these nutjob teachers to push their idiotic world view onto children and also not allowing biological males into females bathrooms which should be commonsense considering we have already seen the consequences of this ignorance where a 16 year old girl was raped in a high-school girls bathroom by a boy wearing a skirt.

I can't stand the red tide because I love the ocean. The east coast of Florida doesn't have that issue. We have family in Boca and they don't stress the hurricanes.

Every state has their issues. I have come to appreciate the lizards here because they will eat the bugs. We have a granddaughter who has named one lizard in particular as Lenny the Lanai Lizard. LOL.
