One of the most impressive places in Sri Lanka is Sigiriya, a site often named the 8th wonder of the world. Sigiriya was also home to an ancient city that sat atop the monolithic rock towering 650 feet over the town of Dambulla in the Matale District of Sri Lanka. The site attracts thousands of tourists daily and has been a UNESCO heritage site since 1982. Many believe that the giant monolithic rock looks unnatural because of its perfectly flat top, which almost looks like it’s been cut at a precise angle. The locals believe this ancient site was built thousands of years ago by an ancient Hindu god, named Ravana, who was part of an advanced race of beings known as the Asura. These deities are said to have come down from the sky and ruled over portions of humanity. There are strange scoop marks and holes in the rock, and at the top, there are bricks, marble blocks, and an enormous granite water tank found in the middle of the site. How all of them were built and how ancient carried the materials to the top is still unexplained.

As these are clay bricks and a plateau would likely have soil on top some of the clay could come from the top of the rock. Bamboo ladders and what about those strange horizontal markings going up the side of the cliff. More evidence of possible ladders.

I'm hearing a lot of "looks like", "possibly", and "seems to be", when trying to explain mysterious findings. Aka, "we don't have any scientific evidence for this, but we can give you our non-expert opinion on stuff!" I watched another mini doc that posited that the gardens are actually double as drowning pools to invading forces, as they can be flooded to the height of the outer walls. At the very least, the water would slow invading forces significantly.
Another great video, and one of the most fascinating sites on earth, definetely it is not from 5 century ad, it is much much older, i even had in mind that civilizations in south asia and southeast asia were connected or where part of some bigger civillization which also included South and Central America. I see many resemblances in architecture and even if we can call by that name reptilian influences. Fallen angels and satan were cast to earth long ago as stated in the Bible. If anyone built this other than humans they did. People are mistaking fallen angels for aliens. Or there was a land mass somewhere along the rock where they went up. Maybe there was a landslide or earthquake that moved the land away.

In the ancient times they a lot of times used this material called "wood" which is quite strong and easy to work with, only downside is that it decompost after a while.
