Howdy! If you'd like to give this recipe a try and have an air fryer (or maybe want to get one after this video) here's the steps with some hints and tips I found along the way! Good luck https://barrylewis.net/recipe/air-fryer-bread/
You & Sorted need to colab
An airfryer is just a small convection oven. You can cook just about anything you'd normally do in an oven. You're just limited to size and how close things get to the hear source
In the U.S., in buildings before 1950, it's quite common to see three-prong outlets with a fake ground. The houses weren't wired with it, so they replaced the hardware and left it open. And you'll never know without intentionally testing it. So it's on us.
The most delicious thing I’ve prepared in my air fryer is a turkey breast. 😋
One of my favorite things to make in an air fryer is ravioli. Usually I do this when there are leftovers after cooking ravioli for dinner. Non-sauced, boiled ravioli. Make a mixture of olive oil, decent amount of salt, and whatever dry spices you like (usually I pick paprika, onion powder and garlic powder). The amount depends on how much ravioli you're using, but make enough of the oil and spice mix to coat them all completely. Fry them in batches so that they sit in your air fryer basket in a single layer. 380F (193C), or whatever the closest temperature setting on your air fryer is, for 15 minutes. Make sure to flip them after 7 or 8 minutes before letting them finish. Makes an excellent snack.
Fun fact: air fryers are not actually fryers because they, well, use air, they are more like mini convection ovens…….never mind, he mentioned that.
Your puns are great, so glad I subscribed to this channel.
I got a Tower digital air fryer for £85 and literally use it everyday
So glad you’re back ❤
I use the air fryer to make chicken wings. Small amount of corn flour with the spices you want. Then cook on 180° for 50 mins but turn 2 or 3 times. Good for 4 or 5 wings, depending on the size of the fryer. As good as making them in the over but don’t have to heat the full oven
Hey barry! Love the videos but thought id leave a comment about your new air frier. I got the exact same one in October and had to return it last week because it started spitting bright orange electricity out of the bottom. Im sure itll be fine but dont leave it unattended!
I did take a video but don't have twitter to send it over :(.
CLEAR NOODLES BARRY!! You have to try it!
I've had an airfryer ever since the basket version was first available 7/8 years now, ive cooked breads, cakes, crumbles, lasagna, roasted chicken, potts & veg, even hard boiled eggs, wouldn't be without one.
Like Adam regusia said. Air "fryer" are just small convection ovens. So of course you can make bread and cake in it. As a single I recommend one for energy saving reasons. And they are heating much faster then an oven. I still think fryer is the wrong term for it tho.
????
Can't have bread Anymore Thankyou but Nolonger Required thanks.
I've got a air fryer with shelves not a basket but it makes some mean croutons. And garlic new potatoes come out lovelt
*its first run out
Despite their name, air fryers are just tiny convection ovens. They are more energy efficient because the volume that needs to be heated is so much smaller than a regular oven and the air circulation is also made to be very efficient in that small space. The trick is putting things in that don't overcrowd the inside of the air fryer so the air flow is not disrupted and also baking small enough things that the heat has a chance to go all the way inside before the outside crisps up too much (which it will do faster as there is air flowing quickly over the surface)
Here are some helpful tips about getting Air Fryer liners: You want to make sure the silicon isn't too thick or isn't holely
If its too thick the heat won't transfer well and if it has holes, that will be fairly difficult to clean and will give little bits a way to go into the holes. I recommend parchment liners with high sides that are disposable.
But Barry I love you buddy, but why not flip and air fry other other side of the larger loaf?
I love my Ninja. I've not done bread, bit I know that the slow cooker setting on low can be used for providing g dough
Missed your videos Barry. Looking forward to whatever is ahead.
Alright, that does it… I'm buying myself an air fryer.
I've so far cooked fish, chips, pies, pasties, sausage rolls, sausage and kale bake, and a korean-style beef stew in the air fryer. I noticed anything that uses liquid does need a little more else it dries real fast even if you adjust cooking time/temp.
Did they tell you you have an astigmatism? That is what it's called and I've got that too and getting old requires glasses. Welcome to middle age.
I will have to try bread from scratch in my air fryer some time. I've used it often for cooking those part baked bread rolls and baguettes from the supermarket (I do 155C for about 6 minutes, no preheating needed). A great way to have freshly baked bread quickly and with a lot less electricity needed compared to the same thing in the regular oven.
Roasted veg is good in the air fryer, breakfast foods too (hash browns, sausages, fried slice, also veggie bacon – not sure if proper bacon works as I'm vegetarian). Maybe try doing a full English in the air fryer and microwave?
Air fryer is just an oven ?,.!?.?
thanks
@2:26 "It's spelled Bouquet, Barry!"
Put the unbaked loaf in the oven and cook it through. Don't waste it.
As a gluten intolerant person I'd love to see you do a comparison of different gluten-free bread recipes! That'd be really interesting.
I am using Ninja Air Fryer from last two years and since than I never looked at my oven anymore. 9kg capacity Ninja – u can cook full chicken, fish, fries, pressure cooker sheep meat, lintels basically anything, u need to use your imagination if any 😊
We had the bucket version but found it a bit limiting however we have now got a big 11 litre one with wire wracks etc in and we love it, it has the rod for spit roasting a chicken, its stunning how it cooks stuff, we love it 🙂
Can you do more videos with this air fryer please?
I have rugby ball shaped right eye as well
yesterday, I tried to do pizza with my air fryer and to be honest, it was a fail 😕
I just noticed your t-shirt.
That is superb.
Is it any good Dough?
Barry, I found this channel by chance and I'm very glad I did.
Also, I love the simple "Yay" to the answer you gave your little person.
i have the ninja air frier with the pull out drawer/bucket one of the best things iv bought
I've backed a panettone in my airfryer because it is just a small convection oven
Ooh Barry is fit!
As a specs wearer, dont worry about the flaring, you get used to it and turning head a bit more to accommodate it. I started having to use varifocals 2 years ago and weirdly, literally got home 30mins ago from picking up new pair. Stick with it, its really odd for a week or two but before you know it, you wont even think about it. 👍
i like to preheat my bucket airfryer to help crisp up the bottom of thigs I cook in there
So glad your back, missed my Barry & family fix.
I have rugby shaped eyes as well, so your not alone xoxoxoxoxoxox
It's no longer a story that the world is experiencing a global economic downturn, I'm so happy that I've been receiving $64,000 from my $15,000 investment every 21 days.
7:25 Aren't those "black sesame" seeds?
