Hestbjerg 15th Generation Organic Family Pig Farm Denmark EU 2023
Today I am at the Hestbjerg Organic Pig Farm in Holstebro, Denmark with Marianne Hestbjerg. What an amazing experience! They have 1500 sows and produce 27,000 pigs annually. There are happy piglets in the pastures everywhere. This is a wonderful example of sustainable, regenerative agriculture and a 15th-generation family farm. The managed forest is an amazing hideout for the pigs, with mud puddles to cool off on hot summer days. The old farmhouse was restored, and the family name and dates are in the cobblestone driveway. All the pigs live and play outside in the pastures and are the happiest pigs I have ever met. Animal welfare is their top priority. The Hesbjergs sell under the market labels Poppelgris, Bertel’s Gris, and Måltidsboxen in Denmark, EU. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to show you this multi-century farm and its story! They have taken pig farming to the next level! Farm tours are available if you are ever in Holstebro, Denmark. I hope you enjoy my video, and thank you for watching.

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am an 18-year-old 4th-generation Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate’s Ag – Farm to Fashion became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.

The correct turn is Heritage pigs! There is no such a thing as organic pigs! Heritage Breeds.
Why, regardless of what breed of pig, all pigs have the exact same short four hour digestive tract! Pigs… eat everything! From alive to dead animals! Pigs have zero limits on what they will eat!
Because pigs don’t sweat, the poisons that would be sweated out go directly into their body fat! They will eat dead Animals, Diseased Animals, their own, and animal waste.
great video hope you got to bring some family with you.
Very interesting video!! And I bet that mud doesn’t come out of your vest. Oh well
It's not an easy thing to do to have a sustainable farm like that and it's even organic and free range. This is where the U.S. tends to put profit before sustainability. This might have more to do with government policy which limits what farmers can do. This can have anything to do with adding material on farms to maintain soil levels (depth) or best water practices.
show her a box of shake and bake and she would be able to make it american style and you might like it better if it was more american or familiar!
Amazing to keep an operation that size organic and open air, thank you.
LIKE!
Kate, you need to bring a little pig home for Darcy and Uncle Chris. If it wasn't for that electric fence, that sow would have taken your leg off with those babies close bye. It's nice to see that Kate's not afraid of getting a little dirty. Another Priceless video Kate, keep up the great work.
I hope Marianne Hestbjerg does not truly believe that we are reborn into an animal or anything after we die. The Bible is clear. Our souls will either go to Heaven or Hell. If we want to go to Heaven, we need to make the choice for Jesus Christ to come into our heart and life, and want to follow Him as Lord and Savior. And we need to make that choice before we die, or before the Rapture if it comes before we die.
Very impressive video Kate! I had never thought a pig farm this way. I learn so much from your channel.
Thank you Miss Kate for sharing your wonderful adventure with us. God Bless You and stay well.
